secular fundamentalism
Definition
(Noun) A strict adherence to rigid humanistic principles and ideologies and does not tolerate religious orthodoxy. For instance, those churches which reject the authority of scripture and ordain women and practicing gays, and do not tolerate congregations that conscientiously object.Usage: The Church in the western world has all but been destroyed by its capitulation to secular fundamentalism.
